Pearts has acted as Dublin agents and solicitors since 1883. We are very proud of our origins including our founder, Richard A. MacNamara, who was President of the Law Society of Ireland, in 1909.
Having started his legal career as a Barrister, Richard’s son-in-law, John R. Peart became a solicitor in 1918 and set up his own practice under that name. When his son, Denis Peart qualified as a solicitor in 1940, the firm became known as John R Peart & Son.
Some years later, while Denis was at the helm and after his son and daughter, Michael (now Mr Justice Peart) and Valerie (now the firm’s Principal) had joined the firm, the name was changed to Pearts.
Now owned and managed by Husband and Wife Team, Gerard J Wade and Valerie Peart, Pearts has evolved and has become the leading provider of Dublin Legal Agency services for all solicitors. It is not uncommon for Dublin firms to avail of our expertise in all areas of outdoor legal work and procedure, rather than or in addition to employing their own in-house law clerks.
Improved postal and communication facilities and a virtual countrywide network of Document Exchanges ensure that no delay is incurred in carrying out instructions and reporting back. In many instances, instructions can be given, and a result reported back, on a same-day basis.
Being a firm of solicitors, Pearts are regulated under the Solicitors’ Acts, with all the in-built security which this implies. As such we are in a position to provide a comprehensive suite of services, such as Court Attendance, expert advice on all matters of Practice and Procedure, and we can, if required, handle your clients’ money (i.e. House Purchase funds, Proceeds of Sale etc.) under the security provided to you and your clients by The Solicitors’ Acts.
